Is a Newton always a Newton?
The key to accurate force measurements is precise calibration. In order to ensure precise calibration – besides suitable calibration equipment – is traceability, which, in turn, refers to the connection of the measured value to the recognized national standard by a continuous chain of comparison measurements with known measurement uncertainty.
Traceability is also required to meet the ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 standards and is thus relevant for audits – whether they stem from internal quality departments or from customers.
So how can we, as HBK, make sure that we supply customers with force measurement technology that not only shows the correct values, but also meets all legal requirements? This webinar will explain how:
- To guarantee that the Newton measured is actually a Newton
- You can bring traceability to your application
- Quality audits and traceability are interlinked
- This is related to the PTB, NIST or other national metrological institutes
